At present, we are issuing VOSON System user accounts at no charge to students and researchers in universities. However, anyone can use a limited version of the VOSON System by logging on as a guest. Those who are not from a university are welcome to enquire about sponsored VOSON System accounts.
The following are people named on research grants that have contributed to the establishment of the VOSON Project:

The following are people who have contributed to the development of the VOSON software or have worked on VOSON-related research projects:
- Lin Chen (compsci masters student at ANU) contributed to VOSON-sns
- Xiantong Chen (compsci masters student at ANU) worked on optimising the VOSON C++ code using concurrent programming techniques
- Natalie Cooper (formerly ANU) worked as a research assistant to Rachel Gibson and Robert Ackland
- Stephen Gray (formerly ANU) contributed to code relating to the interaction between PHP and perl (in particular, use of XML to pass results from perl analysis code to PHP user interface code) and implemented a new menuing system using Yahoo UI library.
- Joel McDonald (formerly ANU) contributed to code for an earlier Qt-based version of the software, and wrote the first version of the perl-based webcrawler (JSpyda).
- Russell Standish worked on incorporating web services into VOSON, including a prototype web service using gSoap, and provided general programming advice.
- Jenny Ackland has provided research assistance and assistance with documenting and bug testing the VOSON System
